This funerary project consists of two sculpted steles, custom-made for a private client and installed on either side of an existing funerary monument. Each stele expresses a strong and complementary symbolism. The first depicts the face of Christ resting in open hands, symbolizing faith, protection, and trusting surrender. The second features a heart accompanied by a dove, evoking love, peace, and the elevation of the soul. These sculpted elements are set above open books, serving as supports of remembrance and memory. The entire ensemble was crafted in Lens stone, chosen for its fine grain and its ability to receive precise and expressive sculptural work. This project illustrates a handcrafted approach in which stone becomes a language, serving contemplation and emotion.
