The Rest of the Peaks is a funerary monument crafted from Charente stone, conceived with a deliberately restrained and symbolic expression. The stele, composed of two forms evoking mountain summits, rises through a play of fractured lines, recalling both the mineral strength of the mountains and the serenity of high altitudes. The worked, broken surfaces enhance the raw and natural character of the stone, while creating contrast with the more softly finished areas of the tomb. This interplay of textures adds depth and meaning to the ensemble without ever disrupting its overall balance. Through its simple and legible composition, this project offers a discreet and soothing tribute, leaving space for interpretation and reflection. A creation in which stone, through both form and material, becomes a link between the earth and the peaks.
