The Duplex
Lens stone balcony with wrought ironwork, 40 - Dax
This project involved the complete restoration of an old balcony that had been severely deteriorated by time and use. The aim was to recreate it identically, faithfully respecting its original proportions and mouldings. The structure was crafted in Lens stone, chosen for its visual harmony with the existing building. Each element was custom-carved to restore the balcony’s original reading and structural function. The metal decorative elements were entrusted to a local blacksmith, ensuring perfect coherence between the stonework and the wrought iron. This restoration has returned the balcony to its full solidity, elegance, and rightful place within the architecture of the building.
