Charente stone finial, 40 - Landes

This project involved the identical recreation of an old finial, an emblematic element located at the peak of a dovecote. The original piece, weakened by time and weather, had broken and required complete reconstruction. The new finial was carved from Charente stone, chosen for its fine grain and perfect compatibility with the existing structure. Each face was worked with precision to restore the original volumes, edges, and proportions, while ensuring a harmonious reading from the ground. The finial thus fully regains its architectural role crowning the dovecote and affirming its heritage character in faithful continuity with the original.
